Thoughts on Thursday

Over this past weekend I celebrated birthday number 26. I think it was the most boring birthday yet. Don't get me wrong...I'm thankful to be alive, but because of the inner ear damage I'm still not able to do much of anything. And even though I could technically survive a trip out, I didn't want to try. I'm starting to realize just how mentally and physically drained I am from this. Most days I'm operating in survival mode, just trying to get through the day. I feel useless...to God and everyone else. I know that's not true, but I can't seem to shake the feeling.

Happy Birthday! I'm having mine at the end of the month; number 27. Hey, I'm going to pray for you on your inner ear issue. I know it must be really hard. I can't even imagine how difficult it must be for you.

Keep up the posts and insights. There's nothing more impacting to the world than a Christian's testimony, especially when they are in the midst of great suffering. I'm sure there are people who know you, or read your blog, who are also going through hard times and are watching to see how you deal with it. I know your testimony will have a major impact in many individuals lives. I truely believe this and hope you do as well. I'm sure it's hard to believe when you are going through pain, but I know God is taking note of your heart and is pleased. God bless!

Hi Tonia, Happy 26th! I think I know who number 27 is-thanks for the reminder;). Anywho, I saw the notifylist.com on your page and I signed up for one too. So how exactly does it work? If someone submits their email, NotifyList sends them an email whenever you update, or do you have to do it?

I think I know who number 27 is too. Thanks so much! I would certainly appreciate the prayers. In addition to the physical aspects of this problem, depression and anxiety seem to have become constant (yet unwanted) companions as well.

And I do believe that what you said is true, but in the middle of the struggle it's easy to forget. Again, thanks so much for the encouragement. It helps more than you know.

Soaps, Thanks for the birthday wishes!

With the Notifylist you actually have to send the e-mail out when you update. You log in to the notifylist.com website and do it from there. It seems to work pretty well, but it can be a bit of a hassle to log in each time you update. I suppose you could just send one e-mail per week or something letting people know about updates to you site.

Soaps, I just made some changes to my Notifylist account. I had to create a new list since I changed the name of my blog recently. I reentered your e-mail address for the new list. I hope you don't mind. Thanks for signing up.

OIC, I was hoping it would be like xanga, where they automatically send you an email whenever people update their pages, or whenever you update your own...oh well, I sign up for everything, do you know what Blogroller is? I signed up for that too, 'cept I don't really even know what it is or how to use it...:)

No, unfortunately, notifylist doesn't work that way. I wish it did.
I'm not sure how blogroller works exactly, but I think it is what Marla Swoffer uses for the personality type blog lists over at marlaswoffer.com. She has lists for each of the 16 Myers-Briggs types. It's kinda cool. You might want to take a look at that.
